Way to Enhance Factory Kicker Subwoofer - SRT Forums

As some of you may know the factory subwoofer has a very hollow bass sound when it hits due to the plastic box, in order to make it sound a little more 'filling' pull the woofer out of the enclosure and fill the inside of the box with polyfill stuffing (not flammable cotton-like material) and throw the woofer back in and seal it all up and there you go! Sorry no pictures its simple enough though!

Where do you get pollyfill at?

Wal-Mart might sell it.. it comes in a big bag just like cotton, looks like stuffing for a pillow.

It's not going to make any huge leaps forward and make it sound like a new sub-woofer, but if you have a keen ear for systems, you will hear a little bit of a difference.

I always wondered about the factory Kickers. Mine didn't have it but want kind of Kicker subs and amp does it have from factory?

Its a little 10" kicker sub and a 100watt non adjustable amp

Did they come with Kicker dash or door speakers too?

Yes, all the door speakers and the tweeters in the dash board are kicker.

That's pretty cool. All the srts that I've seen didn't have any factory Kickers. Thanks for the info

No problem all three that I owned had the factory kicker system (05' red, 04' blue, 04' blue)

Yea I had 04 red stage 1 and 05 red stage 2 but its black now. I been wanting one with a sunroof. White, smoked lights and black wheels too. That would be sweet for me

The kicker system upgrade from stock is actually pretty nice. I'm generally very picky about my car audio, but this white one I got had the kicker package and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Although the front doors were blown...and 1 tweeter is dead, I'll replace those as well as upgrade the sub slightly - 200w or something.

Yeah I don't like a whole lot of bass. I have a 1000watt Memphis amp with 2 Jensen 12s .Ive got it all turned down tho. I like it to sound good without everything rattling everywhere

What does this have to do with how to enhance the factory Kicker sub woofer?
