i never had problems with the 791XVR 2way and now the 5900 (same deal with SST) and never have any range problems with any of the SST systems. The 771XVR however is a different story. I have customers (and employees) that drop their keys maybe once and then page-back is out the window.

That is an easy fix. When the remote is dropped a couple times the solder joints on the plug bettween the two boards break. You just nee to re-solder the contacts.

I have the same problem with my 479v remote.

Yeah it would be easier if the customer could do it themselves lol

There is a lot of little things that are great with DEI but there are other things that can be a PITA for the installer.

I have the Viper 791XV and it's sick. Well worth the time and effort put into the install. Also have a turbo timer through it.
