I have the kicker sound system in my car, i'm looking for a little more base, nothing serious. I don't want to add a new deck, reasons being, i don't want anything flashy only to get stolen in my city, don't want to loose the 6 disc stacker and low budget.
My question is, is it possbile to hook up an amp to the stock deck? what do i need?
The reason why is that 99% of LOC do not allow anymore bass to be produced after half volume.
The RE-Q will always allow for more bass no matter what volume you are at.
You can get 3ch ones or 5ch ones.
That is a LOC just with a mini equalizer built in. Not bad, but expensive for most people. If you definitely don't ever want to go with an aftermarket headunit it may be a good choice, but if a headunit is in the near future a LOC works just fine.

WTF
It isn't just a LOC with an EQ. Do your research.
$150 isn't much to spend if you want a proper signal going to your sub amp.
Trust me p1llar it is well worth the money. If i was using a stock radio i would use one. My co-worker has about $3000 in gear in his Murano and uses one because you can not change the radio in a Murano unless you do a huge rebuild of the dash and rewire the controls.

No you need to not be sold by your friends and the website. It's a LOC with a very basic EQ. I'm not saying its a bad product, especially in the case of the Murano friend, but it's not like a blow me out of the water product.
"Built in high to low level line converter, subsonic filter, low pass filter, and independent gain controls." Basically saying its a cheap EQ LOC.

Just saying if he wants to stick with the stock radio then this is his best option. I could of refered the Rockford Fosgate 360 but that is a lot of money and way more advanced than anything he needs.

you are right that is exactly what it is.
its a loc with an eq for its channels
Or look into an amp that excepts high level inputs. I've never used one but if you are gonna use the high level inputs, why spend money to do so.
David Navone makes a competition level Hi/lo converter that is supposed to work pretty well. I've been out of audio for a while but I'm sure if you google that name you will get a web page for him or something.
