Default recomended head unit upgrade*newb alert*

Im currently running an old panasonic cq-c3400u for a head unit.

Im starting to upgrade my stock system with alpine speakers. I have two type-r alpine 10 inchers in the trunk that will be fed with a v-power 850w monoblock.
will be feeding two type-s 6x9's via an infinity 2 channel amp.

This headunit has a lp crossover selection of either 80hz or 120hz, no way to turn it off. I thought it was best to let the amp do all the low pass filtering for me, or was I incorrect?

Is it wourth my while to upgrade to an alpine head unit? If so what unit would you reccomend? Id like to keep the price around or under the $250 mark.

I require that there be all 3 sets of pre-outs for whatever I buy.

Default

Been doing some mad googleing, it sounds like people who have this unit are still happy with it. Ill probably stick with it until i decide to upgrade with something that has a touchscreen. Id rather spend money on speakers and amp's right now.

Anyone else using this headunit?
