We have one of them in a Diesel and wow that thing is cool It looks like it'd work in the SRT-4 dash. Damn expensive though.
I was thinking about the dodge head units as you posted this. If i remember there are two versions, will they both fit the srt, and whats the difference?
Check the mopar website. The RB4 is has a cd rom and RB1 has a dvd rom. That makes the Rb4 cheaper however you will get less map data on a cd and may end up having to swap map cds for long trips.
There is a guy with a red srt who has one in there. It fits perfect. If i remember I saw them on ebay for about 600-800 bucks. It looked very nice. Wish I could have had the chance to use it.
I've wanted one of these puppies since before I got the car. But there are stand alone systems offering more for less. With the ability to swap it into the wifes Blazer if she tases me into taking that sucker for a roadtrip. I REALLY want the Mini's system, with the nice British lady talking to you

Just got home 3 hours ago, and began to install the rb1 nav unit... finished about an hour ago, and have been playing around with it ever since... It's dark (didn't start till 10pm and didn't finish till around midnight), but I still managed to take a few pictures... maybe even enough to make an illustrated how-to....
Picture coming tomorrow.... hope they turn out okay.. From the camera screen, they look either too dark, or washed out by the flash at such a close-proximity... but I'll see what I can use, and write up a quick how-to this coming week... it's really a very simple install...
For completed pictures, refer to Diablo0's post on the .org a few months back...
1) You can not listen to a CD when you have the "map" displayed since it requires that the navigation DVD to be inserted. As a result, you have to buy a Mopar six-disc CD changer if you want to listen to CD while the navigation system is in use. My six-disc CD changer is coming in the mail.
2) The radio channel display takes up half the width of the bottom display line. This cuts off the name of the city on the bottom display.
I already knew I wanted the cd changer.... just haven't found a good deal yet... originally, I wanted to have both, so I can install at the same time.. but I can't just let the rb1 sit around!!
And yes.. I wish there's a seperate "power" button for the radio... Right now, I just have to turn the volume to the min setting to use the nav without hearing the radio... But I knew about that before-hand too....
UAL... where did you mount the GPS Antenna? And what version of the DVD do you have?
