Default questions about alternator

i've heard that the alternator can't handle a big system sso i was woundering if anyone thinks this is to much to handle i have a eclipse ea4000 running my eclipse mids and a rockford t1500-bd runing 2 t1 12s my lights dim really bad with a optima yellow top and i'm about to upgrade to the big three wireing anybody have any ideas

Definitely make sure you have good grounds, everything is wired correctly for two different amps and that you do the Big 3. The alternator isn't that bad compared to most stock cars, however you cannot upgrade it and its load is controlled by the ECU. Make sure to ditch the cap if you have one too. Also the question really isn't about the alternator. The system you have doesn't compare to a system that needs an upgraded alternator. Should run decent with the stock one.

I ran a bigger system than that for 4 years on the original stock battery with only minor dimming. The big-3 will make the most difference. I also grounded back to the battery rather than trying to find a chassis gorunding spot that would handle the kind of current I was going to be dealing with.
