One of these days I'll get mine posted up. Looks pretty much like everyone elses, nothing fancy. Although Im debating on at least getting a kinetic for the trunk and keepin the stock battery under the hood for now. I believe that will be much better than a cap like some people like to recommend. I just need to think of a stellar batt cover to go with it. Maybe something to match my amp.

twelveday- if this is true then your amp is about a 1200-1500watt amp. correct? .....What you want to do is (as i said in a previous post on this thread) get a good 1.5-2fd cap. you shouldn't need a new batt. just make sure you have a good ground, good power cable (0-4 gauge), and a good fuse or circuit breaker.

same basic message for you 05SilverSrt4. You probably have a 1500-2000watt amp. you will need the same thing, but no 1.5fd..... i would go with a 2fd. AND DOUBLE CHECK ALL OF YOUR WIRES & FUSES. (Ground, Power. Fuse/Circuit Breaker)

Aaaaahhhhhh... yet another problem solved.

yeah my amp is a 1200 watt amp. my gauge wire ar 4 gauge. so i was gonna get a cap but i was only gonna get a 1fd. ill take your suggestion and probably get a 1.5-2 thanks

there aren't... I just want to see where he is getting his information from. The style of our alternators is posing a problem for companies like stinger and ohio two very reputable names in the industry. Not to mention the voltage is controled by the ecu. What most people have told me to do is get another alternator and slap that in, run duallies.

I have an Ohio Generator alternator on my car, 190 amps.

Call them up, they are very helpful and knowledgable.

It will stick to your trunk carpet pretty good if you put it around the perrimeter of the box.

thats a good idea.. thanks!

I got a really good question, how do you hook up mulitiple 12 volt sources in your car? say if you have some neon tubes under the dash, some accent lights behind the amps, other weird custom stuff that you do for show purposes........out the box it comes with either a cig light plug or a plug for inside the house. How do you hook all that up to one source to cut on with...say....your parking lights?

Cut the plug off, and splice the power wire into the harness behind the fuse box for what ever switched source you want to run the light off of. Ground the other wire to the chassis.

thats it!!?!?? so can I run a pretty good sized wire off say....my sunroof location (I don't have a sunroof) and use that as a power source for all the "extras" and just ground them by themselves?

Make a solid floor. Then mount the box to it. Or do a fiberglass install. The w3's sound good from the couple that I have heard. They are a good sub for a sq setup (very clean sounding, not much distortion)
