I had mtx and had a friend that had kickers. Needless to say, he had two 12" kicker comps that would shake your insides on a cheap amp. And I had two 15"s in an eclipse, and I had them in my srt for awhile. They were ok subs. I now have two 12" audiobahn flame q series subs. They have a very clean sound and the sq is perfect to me, they sound alot better than the mtx subs i had, and then can pound the shit out of my car when i want them too.

I do wanna sell it, but i'd like to keep it local, i dont wanna know how much it would cost to ship the thing.... Hell i dont even know how much the going rate for a box like that is anyhow... I've been making boxes for years, and i always end up scrapping them when im done haha.

I'm probably gunna sell the 3 RE8s i have left.. or use them elsewhere and do a single ported 12 in the SRT.. something like this:

Nice setups.....hey I'm picking up all this equipment for a really good price, do you think its doable?.......what else would I need to add to it?:

(2) 3000 watt class d digital amp,mono r.m.s power@ 1 ohm
4 ohms power 1100 w x1
2 ohms power 1800 w x1
1 ohms rms power 2300 x1
max power 3000 x1 this is the speaks on the amps.

1 ptm- 450 c rear view mirror tv , 4 inch tv in review mirror

lighting caps are 2.4 farriad lighting caps

(4) mofo 12 inch subs 270 ounce magnet. they weigh about 70 pounds each. they are the heavest 12 ive ever seen. 2400 watts maxx each, 1200 watts rms each,

street wire wiring kit comes with big fuse and huge wirg. bigger than booster cables for cars.1 ougt gage. huge wire

(2)7.2 screens like goes in head rests..............

I know I need the door and rear deck speakers as well as the dashboard components. And a good head unit.......I was thinking of the Jensen TV/DVD/CD/MP3 player.......its pretty reasonable price wise

The other question is, should I set up the 12's like NEONELITE10 has....(not tryna copy you btw)

Im not trying to rain on your parade but if I were you I would sell those power accoustic mofo's and get some good subs I ran those back in the day and had nothing but problems. But to each there own. If I were you I would look into getting the new D9 by diamond audio. Great subs

How does the sound compare to the subs firing toward the rear?

Is the trunk rattle insane?

Can one guy wrestle out the box should you get a flat tire or is it too heavy?

Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the box?

Thanks

So what was the main problem with the PA mofo's?........was it mainly the subs or the amp?

just a fyi, you need to address your power and charging systems. There is no alternator upgrade for the SRT yet out, if you don't do anything (those caps are just band aids especially with that power) you are going to fry that alternator in no time.

1st off... congrats. on all of the hard work you all have put into your cars! I know how hard it is do custom fit and fiberglass things in a confined space. you all did fine jobs. thumbs up^^^

2nd off... anyone willing to do the research and put the time and money into trying to pound the neighbors into early hearing aides TAKE NOTE. I have seen some of the best set-ups in the area with some of the cheapest subs available!

Most of your sound comes from the box.
The next most improtant part is your head unit. if matched, equalized and syncronized it can almost add a third of the sound to your system for the least amount of money (in most cases).
Then come the amp. The only real restriction you have on how big you go is minimum capacity of power. The rest can be tuned to fit your setup so do whatever you want, but please have it profesionally tuned if you don't know how.
Lastly is the sub(s) themselves. The subwoofer is the work horse, but they will only do what they are made to do!

some subs are specially designed to be most eficient in small spaces, some need high cubic feet of air to move, some should only be run on proted boxes, some vented, some sealed only.

Decide how much sound you want to have and plan to make it by matching the subwoofer specs with the proper box. Buy an amp that makes enough (or more) power to feed the sub(s) with enough RMS. Make sure you can tune your head unit to match or buy an equalizer. Then tune. AND FOR GOD SAKE...don't try to tune your new system if you don't know how.... you will make the wrong mistake and overpower your sub(s), but you will only have the chance to do this once!!!!!!! There is no going back once you have a fire in your trunk.

p.s. please use a cap. or the proper yellow or red top/ alternator. and if you are going BIG get a volt meter.
