Default polk momo

so i had a guy offer me a 12'' sub in a box and all the wires as a trade for my old 1st gen iphone that i dont even use anymore. the sub he has is a polk momo but i have never even heard of that anyone know how good or bad it is

thats polks top of the line... good sub all around. make sure you get plenty of power to it, when i used to sell/install those subs a lot of people under powered them and a lot of the momo's blew because of it. i had their 6.5 and 6x9's in my '97 Civic with an alpine 4 channel on them and they were awesome.

it is impossible to blow a sub by giving it less than it's rated rms. every time that a system is running at less than full volume you are "underpowering" a sub.

um, no look into Polk's SR series if you want top of the line. MoMo is garbage

Unless the person tries to make up for their lower wattage amp by increasing the gains enough to cause clipping. A square wave signal or DC current will fry a speaker pretty fast.

that is not underpowering a sub. that is sending a clipped signal to the sub. there is a huge difference.
