Default please help suggestions needed!

ok this is in a 97 cherokee if it matters...
I hooked up a very cheap system for my gf's little brother... He already had a sony xplod deck, and i installed the amp kit ( i believe its 8 gauge wire), a 1200 watt xplod amp and 2 12" xplod subs in a ported bandpass box. Suprisingly it hits pretty decent but there is one problem, the amp only works on the am/fm not the cd player, as soon as you switch to a cd the amp completely shuts off, and when you swithc it back to am/fm the amp immediatly gets power again. I double checked all the wiring and all appears to be good. The deck also has 3 aux ports I tried switching it up and no difference( its currently plugged into one that is labeled rear out). Im out of ideas and the only thing i can come up with is the deck is bad any help would be appreciated..

*i know xplod is not the greatest stuff out there so please dont flame me for puttin it in

You have the power antenna hooked up as the remote turn on wire. You need to disconnect the solid blue wire and hook up the blue/white wire to the turn on wire you ran to the amp from the radio. This is the reason it is doing this because it thinks you have a power antenna and when you put on a cd, it turns the antenna off as it doesn't need it anymore and comes back when you turn the am/fm back on.
