You can get AEM widebands for cheap on ebay and they're good quality units.

By the way I wouldn't get the wideband add on for the scangauge unless you are trying to have very few gauges to make things look cleaner or something. You can get a whole wideband with gauge for just a few bucks more, then you can just run the additional 0-5 volt output wire on the wideband to an analog input on your scangauge. Now you've got a wideband gauge plus you can record your AFRs for the price of the wideband add on.

x2, there are "narrowband" gauges that sometimes say they read a/f, but they are not accurate at all. Those sell for like 20-40 bucks...just do it right the first time

That's not a wideband it's a wideband gauge. Atleast that's what it looks like. Still need a controller and a wideband sensor.

Oh thanks for pointing that out. It turns out that it is only the gauge, but they sell the kit on their home website. I was just wondering something also, I'm still a noob at this if I were to get a map clamp in my car, would I need to get the wideband? or is the regular afr gauge good to work with?

if you have a mapclamp, you MUST have a wideband...

a wideband just monitors your afr's

a mapclamp has the ability to change your afr's(by hiding boost from the computer, the less boost it sees, the less fuel it will give-therefore affecting your afr's)

it is very dangerous for your car to us a mapclamp without a wideband.

What do you mean by regular AFR gauge? There is only 1 thing that can read AFRs, thats a wideband. A narrowband can only say if you are on the rich or lean side of the stoichiometric ratio. Completely useless because you don't run anywhere around there at WOT.
