Hey me too! I got a cheepie shortie off of ebay. 10 bucks. The reception took a little bit of a hit, but I just could not stand the lightsaber anymore. If anyone knows of a good one on the cheap... postup! We want to know.

i just ended up cutting my stocker down to about 4" or so. I don't really notice a difference reception-wise from the full length stocker, but then again most of the time it's iPod or Satellite for me.

I did the same as stage3matt; yanked the stock ball off the top of the antenna, took a pair of bolt cutters and cut about 8" off the antenna, grinded the end down a bit then shoved the ball back on and tapped it a few times with a hammer. Looks great and is still in one piece, and reception is just the same as it was before

Here's my Zapp. Had it about 3 yrs now. It's billet and coated black. Reception is pretty much ok. But I listen to my Sirius mostly anyway.
