Depends on how much you wanna spend, and when it comes to radars i really that the saying "you get what you pay for" proves itself. I have a beltronics rx65 and i love it. With pretty much all radars you'll get either false alarms or pick up security from stores giving off K alerts but I think it's beltronics that has a new radar out with GPS memory so you can silence those alarms from buildings and you'll really cut down on those false alarms. And if it's money you're worried about check ebay out. I got mine from there for around 100 bucks less than in stores!
Not sure if you've seen this website yet, but check it out... Radar Detectors and Jammers - Reviews & Shopping at RadarBusters.com This guy who knows pretty much everything about radars compares them and tests em. Great info. That helped me make my decision in gettin the RX65 but they got bigger and better ones out now

my buddy had one in his m3... as long as you get the most recent version or update older versions they are great. YES they have false alarms all detectors do but they are hands down the best at catching everything plus the front back and side to side detection is great.
i have the escort 9500i and like it ten times more than my old 8500 x50. It has built in GPS that not only tells you your exact speed when it goes off, but it has speed based sensitivity (ie. all bands at full sensitivity at highway speed but at slow speeds like in parking lots, stop lights, ect. sensitivity is pretty much zero for VERY few false alarms when under normal speed limit speeds. That being said the GPS also enables their TrueLock feature that lets you permanently lock out false alarms by GPS location AND frequency (you can block out a store alarm today but it will pick up the cop sitting in front of it tomorrow ect.). You can also use the GPS to mark speedtraps and cameras and it will let you know when you are approaching. It also has an auto volume to turn itself up or down with ambient noise.
