ok, to start, im about to install a jl audio 10w3 in a single sealed box with a memphis amp, while using my factory radio.
now, from all that, i was wondering if it'll make any difference in applying some kind of sealant or foam into the box for better sound quality or will it even matter?
2nd, should running and tapping straight into my rear speakers be fine, or will i receive a better sound quality if i run it straight from the radio itself? now obviously im not just going to "tap" into anything but purchase the necessary items i need to do it professionally.
thats all i have for now. let me know what else i might need or whatever you guys think would be beneficial while i do this.
what kind of wood is the box made of? mdf? anytime you can cut down resonation in a box will sound cleaner, also ive tapped my speaker wire for a signal before with no problems, but be more clear of what you're trying to accomplish, running the amp to the speakers or getting a signal? im no pro at audio, but i've installed systems for a long time with no issues..

i dont know the type of wood but it sounds good for what im looking for, didnt even put anything in it to get a better sound quality.
we tapped into the speaker wire running under neath the rear seat on the driver side, and hooked that up to the little module you pick up from an audio store.
from that, we also tapped into a previous wire behind the radio for the RMS and ran all the wires in the door trim up to the truck area.
i unfortunately had to drill a "ground" into the rear seat area for i wasnt able to get anything in reach, while at the same time trying to minimize visibility.
all in all, im happy with the outcome, sounds good just for me, and at the same time, you can hear it just enough outside with all the windows and doors closed.
either way, came out great, but my friend told me that it could sound a lot better by purchasing another/better box. (i picked it up from my other friend for $10 just for the mean time)
