it all depends on your routing, there really isn't a set length for them. Route them well and keep them as short as you can, 15ft should be plenty for you though.

Agreed. 15feet should be plenty.

nah, like it was stated above, its all in how you route the wires. everyone might be a little different depending on how picky you are.

30" Neg Batt - Block
15" Rear Block - Frame
7" Frame - Motor Mount
18" Neg Batt - Frame
10" Block - Batt Tray
(roughly) 4' Pos Batt - Alt

15' will be more than you need. you can do it all with around 11', 12' to be safe. good wire is expensive, save what you can.

are you powering a nuclear reactor in your trunk or something? 4AWG wire is good for an additional 120amps of current and if you need more than that for your big 3 I am truly interested in what sort of SPL vehicle you're building there...

I see no reason not to go to 0awg. Going bigger doesn't hurt anything, and it will be very efficient. Also allows lots of room for upgrades.

i agree with you that it really couldn't hurt to go with 0awg, just unnecessary for most big 3 applications. Mine's done with 4awg and I feel that it's more than enough for what I need.

there is the difference... that is what you feel you need and he may feel he needs more. i too used 4g wire, but mostly because my amps (per manufac.) only require 8g wire for power and ground. while bigger will not always achieve a better result in this situation it can't hurt.
