iPhone 3G S and SRT-4

All right, I am about to get an iPhone 3G S. Just like everyone else. Except unlike most people, I want to put it to work in my car.

The things I want it to do are:
> Have best audio quality.
> Charged while plugged in
> Be able to stream internet audio to the car speakers
(optional) have a really kick ass interface.

The alpine deck I have works with my 3rd gen iPod. It will not work with Pandora via WiFi, I assume because it is old.
(get error: "No volume available" in Pandora, tested with friends iTouch)

So from what I understand I need a new deck. I need one that is compatible with an iPhone and I need it to be compatible with Pandora/Slacker etc. I need suggestions on which ones work/ have problems.

Also, I have read that some head units work fine with the iPhone/ iPhone 3G but have problems with the iPhone 3GS, since the 3GS is the specific model that I am going to get I would like input only regarding the 3GS.

I don't mean to be a snob. I have looked everywhere with no results, which is frustrating. I would hate to buy something and then not have it work.

I would prefer answers from people that have experience with this setup. But I'll take anything I can get. Thanks in advance.

That would be a good deck to go with. You would also get a 2 year warranty with it too since it is an excelon. I sell both Pioneer and Kenwood at my work and Kenwood is by far more on top of Ipod/Iphone and bluetooth than Pioneer is.

if you call crutchfield (phone orders only) and use that referral code you can get $20 off an order of $200 or more and the x993 falls into that category.
