I was wondering how you guys run the power wire from your battery to the amp. i currently have it run trought the door jam onto the Driver side fender into the hood.
i dont know for sure not owning an SRT
but USUALLY
there is a hole in the firewall
that cords are going through
try running it through there, if there is one
that works with little wires, but anything bigger than 8 gauge you'll want to go a different route. i have 2 gauge running front to back because i relocated the battery to the trunk. no system, but i did have to run a big ass battery cable. i used 5/8" heater hose as a shroud and ran it underneath the drivers side. i'll try and get pics this weekend.
I have JLaudio 2gauge, extra thick insulation on the wire. I ran it through the groment on the firewall no problem. Don't run wires through the door jam. No only is it tacky but its dangerous.

x2, super tacky. it's the über-ghetto way to wire up your stereo.
on the driver side were your your harness gose through or on the passenger side.. there are holes on each side.. once u get through hook it to the hot side of your fuse box
"red wire" an you will be good..

Pass the power wire through the firewall above the clutch. Its big enough for a 4 gauge, and you might even be able to pass an 0 gauge through it as well. Then just fish it under the carpet and you have a much more professional install, not to mention its much safer....plus the wire runs up the drivers side to the battery so its really clean in the engine bay as well.
