Question Help!!

I'm looking for a headunit that I can hook up my mp3 player to. I don't want to hassel with an ipod hook up system/ipod adapters/etc.

I either want to use a male to male stereo link cord
(such as this http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05...197&t_mode=des )

Or a

aux to headphone jack chord (such as this http://www.monstercable.com/computer...r.asp?pin=1731 )

So please if you could find a decent headunit ($150-$240) that I would be able to use one of those cords with please show them to me!!!

I was also wondering if this headunit would work
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=15716

Because it says it has 1 Aux In and 1 Rca Preout. I'm a big fan of Pioneers OEL series.

Thanks for the help!!!

I'm pretty sure you can use that but you need to buy an adaptor to be able to do that.

This is what I have http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...thId=87&page=1 and was able to hook up my Sirius Sportster the way your wanting.

Err, didn't want to spend 60 bucks for an adapter for the pioneer. Thanks for the quick reply though . Anyone else?

It will work, you just won't have any control over the Ipod from the deck, aside from volume.
I have the same setup on my Clarion deck (the male 3.5mm to RCA) running into my AUX input. I also have the Clarion Ipod connecter which is nice because it powers the Ipod. Don't care for the interface though

I've finaly came to the decision and picked out a nice sony headunit. I currently have aftermarket sony speakers, and some cheap aftermarket panasonic headunit. When purchasing this headunit do I need to get some type of wire harness?

Thanks

I'd skip the Sony piece. I dropped them due to too many problems. Yes, you'll need a harness, mounting kit, and antenna adaptor.
