Default Fiberglass sub Enclosure

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of Bassforms.

http://www.bassforms.com/

They make fiber glass enclosures and supposedly for a reasonable price. Does anyone have any experience with fiberglass enclosures? How much does a fiberglass enclosure usually cost? I was thnking of getting one but wasn't sure how fiberglass really stacks up to conventional wood boxes. Plus alot of their designs help retain trunk space which i am really a fond of. I need my trunk space man.

thanks guys

Doesn't look like they have one for the SRT. I would think you can have a buddy do one for less than $400 though.

What would he charge? Are all fiberglass enclosures made the same way? Bassforms says thye put 4-8 layers of matting and offeres lifetime warranty just incase it cracks or something .

there is nothing cheap about having a fg enclosure, but you can do it yourself. check out Fiberglass Forums - Powered by vBulletin and you will find everything you ever wanted to know and more. browse the stickied posts before you start asking question since about 99.9% of them will be answered there already.

if you are going to purchase one the price will depend on the size and design of the box, but expect to pay no less than $300-500 at a minimum and there really is no maximum. you can also buy prefab'd universal enclosures on various sites on the web but the build quality can vary greatly.

I want something done that is similar to what they have for the Charger/300 setup. 1 12 on either side of the trunk. That would be perfect for me. I'd pay a few hundred for that setup.

There was some dude on Ebay about 2yrs ago who was selling fiberglass enclosures. They fit where the kicker sub was. But it was a 12 instead of the stock 10 and he made them for both sides of the trunk.......

Carsten.... thats almost exactly what I want except I want them angled up just a little bit more.... but if you built me that I'd be happy with it. I don't want the amp rack there..... I've got something else that will sit back there
