true, but a lot of what people think are remote bass controls are actually just remote gain controls. for those that don't understand they can easily be mistaken.

let me try to make it simple. lets say the gain on the amp goes from 0 to 10 and when properly set the gain on the amp is at 6. the remote control, if it is the gain variety, will allow you to turn down the gain for less power but it will not allow you to go over. using the settings mentioned when the remote knob is at 10 (max) the gain on the amp is still at 6. when the remote is at 5 it would be like turning down the setting on the amp to 3.

I was under the impression of the following for Bass remotes: They are focused on a set frequency, usually between 40 and 60 hertz, and the more you turn the knob, the louder those frequencies get. I have never heard of them controlling the gain.

oh okay well running a 2ch amp at 1 ohm is definately the problem lol 2 ohms usually makes a 2ch amp cut out. 4 ohms is your only option with a 2ch amp running a sub

U.S amps is (or was) a small amp company that specialized in small high current amps.

for instance, they had a 25 watt amp (12.5 x2) that was one ohm stable per channel and .5 ohm stable when bridged and put over 200 + watts. U.S amps were hand made and those suckers kicked ass.

Why such a small high current amp? Because Iasca had a 0-50 watt competition class.

This is when Orion, Precision Power, Rockford Fosgate made quality products.
