Default Couple Questions, need some suggestions

Ok, well I guess I'll start with what I have. I am just starting to get into the audio components, and this is the first car I've done any of these sorts of mods, so I want to do it right. Right now, I have a set of Infinity Reference 6.5" door speakers, with components (tweeters and crossovers), and Infinity Reference 6x9's. I wasnt happy with how it sounded powered only by the Alpine head unit I have, so I put an amp to them, a Kicker 350W 4 channel, running 90W rms to all speakers. It sounds good as hell, but now I am looking into a sub... The quality of sound is there with the speakers I have, now I just want a little bump in the back I know for sure I want to get a JL 10" W7, but I have found 2 different ones online, one says its 1000W peak, 500 rms, and the other says 1500W peak, 750 rms... This particular sub runs at 3 ohms, and I want to know what kind of amp to get for it, as cheap, but good, as possible. Best bang for the buck. I am running low on cash, but don't want to buy cheap shit, if that makes any sense haha. Can I run an amp at 4 ohms with this sub? And also, should I run a capacitor? Or just do the "Big 3" wiring mod? And if anyone has any other suggestions as to good 10" sub and amp combos, I am open to anything. Its just that I know someone with a 13.5" W7 and it hits HARD as hell. But let me know what you guys think, and like I said, any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

subs, like cars, are up to user choice. jl makes some fine products and i run a pair in my other car. my neon has a set of alpine type-r and i like them as well. if you are going to spend the money for a w7 then you will be forced to spend the money for a proper amp or it will be a waste. a 10w7 can take up to 750rms, and in all acuality even more. get an amp that is 2ohm stable to drive it or you may fry the amp with the lower ohm load on a w7.

forget the capacitor. they are garbage. upgrade the ground and power lines under the hood with 4g or better and get a better battery. the stinger spv44 is a perfect drop in replacement in a neon.
