Default CompuStar and brake lights

So I iniitally got my compustar installed like 3-4 yrs ago. Had to have it serviced like 2-3 months ago. Now the alarm goes off without anyone near it. Also, the turbo timer only runs for like 2 mins.

I also think there is a short somewhere because my brake light fuse keeps blowing and there is no loose wires or anything in my trunk, not even carpet. Pulled it all out in hopes that i would find the short.

If anyone is knowledgable about the compustar system or even knowledge about alarms, please give me any ideas. I have been pulled over like 4 time already. And my skittle is my daily driver.

It was a place that I found on compustar's website. IDK what they actually serviced but they told me that the original installers sucked and didnt you diodes. They used resistors.

Well one way to check it is to look under the dash and find a green/white wire coming out from the compustar brain. You should find a fuse in line with that wire. Pull the fuse out from that wire and that will isolate any issues from the Compustar.

As for it going off all the time, is your alarm a pager alarm? If so and you have a little round "pager" pad on the windshield then just disconnect that piece from the brain. Those pieces always cause issues with the alarm going off. I have taken out about 10 of those stupid pager pads this year alone.

It will look similar to this with a blue flashing LED on the back side.

Wasn't the alarm at all. Faulty brake switch. Still alarm goes off by its self at times, probably just needs a reprogram. Thanks for the help everyone

OK, so it wasnt the brake switch. STILL NO BRAKE LIGHTS. It HAS to be the alarm. Can't wait till the shop gets a new installer

But does it have that pager piece like the pic i posted? If it does then just unplug it and see if it still goes off randomly. That piece is the only flaw i have found with Compustar.

I took out the fuses to the brain and BANG...brake lights. Thanks for the advice. So it end up being the brain to the alarm, but don't know if its the brain or the wiring/installation. But I'm glad I got brake lights.
