Default Complete system package help.

I have a 03 srt-4 with complete factory system and I am looking to upgrade. I'm mainly looking for speakers that can hit the real highs and lows. I mainly listen to Rock/Alternative. I am also looking for speakers that have a decent bass but I'm not looking for the 2 12" sub sound. The problem is that I am not familiar with audio equipment (i.e crossovers, amps ect...). I went to crutchfield.com and they gave me this recommendations for the speakers:

Infinity Kappa 652.9i for the front and Kappa 692.9i speakers for the rear deck.

They also suggested using Dynamat. So I am wondering if this would be a good setup for what I am looking for. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Like I said though, I am not real familiar yet with car audio equipment but I'm looking for a good system.

One more thing. I looked at the speakers that crutchfield suggested on other sites like amazon and ebay and found them for much cheaper. Should I stay away from that?

crutchfield charges a little more for their items but their customer service cannot be touched. if you report a product defective they will practically overnight you a replacement no questions asked. if you do order from them send me a pm first for a discount code i have. so long as it is a reputable website AND an authorized dealer of the brand you are buying there should be no problems buying it from another site.

upgrading the speakers will probably make it sound a little better but you will not be happy doing that alone. if you want to really imnprove your system you will need to do it all - head unit, amp(s), speakers, wiring.

using a vibration dampener like dynamat (only use xtreme btw for that brand) can greatly improve the sound you get. i personally spent as much if not more on it as any other single piece of equipment in my car. this is one of the best things you can do and sadly most people overlook it. i have a thread somewhere on here that shows the process.
