Default car stereo people HELP!!

my car didnt come with the 6 disc cd changer. my friend said he would sell me his for 30 bucks.....would it just plug into the back of my factory cd player? if not how would i get it to work in my car?? thanks

yes. although neither having one in my car nor seeing one, that is the concept. It should have a cable with it that will plug into the open port of your radio.

If your car already has the factory cd changer cable ran, and your friend's cd changer is the correct factory unit yes it should plug right in and work. If I were you I would dig around in the trunk and see if I could find a cd changer harness then compare plugs.


If it's an aftermarket changer you can make it work. However that would require the use of about a $100 adapter cable.

our factory 6 disc came in the pocket below the radio bezel

Yes it works. I bought the kicker package after buying the car, and its all plug and play. If it doesn't work right off the bat, simply disconnect your battery and reconnect...should work after that.
