Default CAR race Camera - mounted action helmet cam advice anyone?

I have purchased two different car mounted cameras. One of them is the adrenaline systems Car Cam Sport which I have heard a lot of good things about.
The other is the oregon scientific SD helmet camera. This unit comes with an SD slot.

The adrenaline systems camera is sony 580 tv line ccd which is weatherproof. The oregon scientific does not seem to specify what quality it provides. It also
seems to be waterproof. This camera is not specific for a car but it is pretty cheap in price.

I will be testing them out as soon as I get them. For now, can anyone provide any input on what I should be looking out for?
Are there any pointers I should keep in mind?

I intend to use the camera for some of our weekend street and racetrack racing video. Thanks in advance for your help.

Vegas is good, pricey though. I got Studio 10.6 for $70 and mostly because I couldn't find Studio 8 which I upgraded all the way to 9.

I dunno about Vegas but Studio 10x up support dual and quad core processors, makes rendering or encoding really fast!

I also have Vista Media Center and Vista Movie Maker.

What's cool about these cheap cameras is that you can mount them in plenty of places to give you professional looking race footage. Combine that with some track side footage and you can make some bomb looking videos.

They also work great when street racing and they won't struggle with a smooth picture because you usually have somebody holding the camera whien you go from a roll, highway racing or street racing.

They should sell a ton of these!

Well you just sold me. My Q6600 overclocked to 3.6ghz is begging for a little work out.

Still researching but these cameras look promising!

I still have to install a backup camera; just something to round-out my NX-5000

I want one to record my conversations with cops. Is that legal? Tired of getting harrassed.
