Default **Big 3 Pictures**

Well I've had nothing but problems with some electrical components in my car and decided to go about 'cleaning' up some things I haphazardly did before the winter. Namely the big 3.

How the terminals looked with wire fraying and not sitting right
Random shot of my stereo wire/ground coming up through the sheet metal
neat the fuse box

To start with, disconnect your battery and it will probably make it alot easier to remove it from the car. I have an Odyessy 1200MJT (thing keeps dying on me!)

This picture has a few things already done
I have removed the air box and pulled off my old terminals.

This shot tries to show that I am still utilizing the factory battery support location. (shot sucks I know..)

With the battery and air box removed you have plenty of room to work with.
The following shot shows the wire I am using for both ground and power in my car. Knukoncepts kolossus 0awg

for info on the wire check this out KnuKonceptz - view products for category KOLOSSUS KABLE
Only issue I have with this wire is that the enormous size will give you issues with finding a good terminal (I just made my openings a little bigger)

Now finding a good spot for the main ground isn't that hard. I chose to use one of the fuse box screw locations for mine.

You can see I sanded ALL of the paint off of the location. This will help to ensure the best possible connection.

Now to make the ground wire itself. I won't show all the pictures but You'll get the drift.

Using some Dielectric grease to help combat rust

smear a health dose on both the location you just sanded and on your terminal you just created/crimped what ever

then install the terminal and crank that sucker down
You'll know its tight when the grease starts oozing out the sides, or you can't turn the bolt any more

For the Engine to chasis ground I used the stock location
I just upgraded the wire size

This shot I am trying to show you the engine bolt I used to secure the new ground wire

Here is the ground location I choose for the engine to battery ground. This right next to the intake manifold on the drivers side

and a picture of the wires other end all shrunk and ready for installation

Sorry guys but I didn't take any pictures of the alternator wire upgrade, I followed the factory points and just upgraded the wire using 4 awg.

The fuse wire was upgraded with 4awg (I am not using any 0awg slots right now for my stereo so what the hell)

Once you guys do all that (any order you wish) you're more or less done, just reinstall everything.

Here is a shot of where I put my inline fuse holder

Everything back in all done for now (I need to redo my stereo) You can probably make out some wires just hanging around the bay.

Now the 1000000 question is what is this wire..
The red one... It is the old alternator wire, but it is hooked to something beneath the manifold..

That red wire leads straight to your starter. From they're it turns directly into a fuseable link and to your alternator.

I apologize I didn't update that other thread any sooner. Been a little backed up with life and haven't been able to do much around this section.

Wait, did you run the power wire underneath the car or through the firewall?

I ran the wire underneath the car. I went through the wheel well, then I ran it along the outside of the car. I ran the wire under the side skirts, yes the wires are protected. Then I cut into the metal and came up under the seats. Going complete under the car didn't present as a good option. The way I did it turned out to be perfect. Everything is protected from rust/corrosion and from falling off.
