Default audio settings headunit

hey i need help on audio settings on my alpine headunit. im a full newbie on audio stuff. i swap my kenwood for alpine ipod headunit. Now on the kenwood had presets and i liked "top 40" one, on this alpine no presets at all.

bass adjustment Fo 60,80,100,200 hz or Q 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2

treble adjustment Fo 10k,12.5k,15k, 17.5k

high pass filter adjustment 80,120,160

please help me pick out. music just sounds flat in general. clean and clear sound.

thanks

Honestly just play with the settings. I liked my car setup for my front componets handing mid's and highs on the tweeters and the 6x9s were playing mainly lows-bottom mids. subs for the bass.

my pioneer i kinda liked the settings in a "u" shape if you will, the high notes 3/4s up and then slowly start progressing lower, and when you get below 100hz start raising it up

for bass i would do an 80 or 100
for treble i would do 12.5K
high pass run 120 if your 4 chann..if not you prolly get away with 80Hz but adjust bass level accordingly.

the settings i run on mine are for L-100Hz M-1KHz H-3.15Hz
Im also on a 4 channel with my levels adjusted there.. i dont really need to have any settings on my deck becuase i could literally set it with my amp and be ok. but i have my deck set so it cleans up the sound more.
