Default aftermarket tweeters vs stock tweeters

Anyone running them at all? Full system or just aftermarket tweeters through an amp?

My good friend changed out everything in the car but the stock tweeters. Says there's no need to do that because you won't notice a difference.

I am gonna be using Rainbow Germaniums up front and i'm curious to know if there's ANY truth at all to this.

He is correct, there will be a huge sound quality difference. You're going from bottom of the line to top of the line.

Dude you dont even need an amp for the highs unless you are going to compete. I changed out my stock tweeters for some boston acoustics and they are a big difference no amp just aftermarket radio and I keep my highs at 0 or +1 and thats good enough.

Dude... the setup I went with now is quite more ridiculous. :-)

Tru S44 Amp for Dynaudio 342 speakers
Tru S500 Amp for Alumapro BP10 Sub
Eclipse AVX5000 head unit

I have upgrades to install as well and will let everyone know my results as this pair was only 30 bucks.
