Well I am about to get a system in my trunk that is gonna bang like no other. One of my peeves is rattling trunks. I plan on dynamatting my trunk lid as the rest of my car is already done. Did the regular neons come with a carpet piece I could put on the trunk lid to cover up the dynamat?

I used just enough sound deadening material so that it is hidden under my trunk lid carpet.

DONT USE DYNAMAT!!! use Second Skin Audio!! blows dynamat outta the water!!!!
bro you have no idea what you are talking about. dynamat xtreme is just as good as damplifier and damp pro is only 2mil thicker on the foil. on several occasions ant (the owner of ss) has stated basically the same thing. the only way your logic could apply would be if you were talking about the original dynamat which was asphalt-based and no longer in production, but then it would not be a fair comparison.
fwiw i have xtreme in one car and damp pro in the other.
Dynamat Original sucked donkey balls. I threw some on my truck and by a year or two later, most of it fell off. With Dynamat Extreme, the only issue I had was that the foil was ripping in areas that had a lot of contour when the roller was being applied. My experiences with Dynamat were from 10+ years ago though so things might have changed with their products. With my Neon, I used B-Quiet Ultimate. After seeing several of the Team Hybrid members (and also Buwalda himself) use the product, I decided to give it a try. The price of the product was also a factor that swayed me toward my decision.

well im basing it off of my car and the whole trunk was done with dynamat xtreme i didnt do the install on it an audio shop did beucase i did trade work for them and got it put in for free but when i got back in the car and drove it i didnt notice one damn bit of difference in the way it sounded in car...i removed the xtreme shit and replaced with DampPro and thats when i was convinced SS is a lot better product than Dynamat becuase i actually noticed it was quieter in car. but its kind of hard to gauge someone elses knowledge based off a comment they make FROM PAST EXPERIENCES i may add and tell them "bro, you have no idea what your talking about" well excuse me BRO but i was throwing my .02 in so that the guy has more of an idea as to what is out on the market..to each his own im not here to start an argument just here to shed some light for the guy.
i will say it again, you don't know what you are talking about. if you could easily remove an entire trunks worth of dampener then it was not applied properly. there is no way i would ever even think about trying to remove the product in my car. it would literally take me weeks to get it all out and be such a hassle that i would be kicking in door panels in frustration.
i would like to see pics of your claims to back them up, including the applied dynamat, removal of it and the damp installed.

Sounds like you were wanting less road noise and not better sound. There is many products out there. They all work differently. Some products help with road noise, some help with stopping vibrating panels and give you better sound.
Cascade has about 10 different kinds of "deadening" material. All are used for different applications.
