Default 2006-cea compliant amps

pretty much means they have been tested and put out what the manufacturers say it does. thought it would be helpfull.

CEA: CEA-2006-A, Mobile Amplifier Power - CEA-2006-A, Mobile Amplifier Power

then click the link listed under the company names...the one that says "Link to product mark models"

enjoy!

I'm happy it exists, if for no other reason than it put a stop to the retardedly unrealistic ratings given to head units.

?????? I don't think i have ever seen any "unrealistic" claims on HU's. Most list 50W PEAK which actually on put out about 15-20W real power.

If you ever get a HU that you have to question the power output then that is probably the least of your worries about the HU.

a lot of manufacturers used to quote their ratings at 10% THD and with only one channel connected to a load. meaning, unlistenable distortion and an unrealistic setup.

I know what you're saying there lol the only reason why i know what HU power sounds like is because i install for a living and most people dont go for running an amp on their speakers and just on a sub. Sometimes we convince them to at least run their fronts on an amp.
