Had it on a shelf and it fell like 5 feet strait to the carpet floor

Camera survived but the lens on the other hand..well...

Wow.. didn't think it would've actually broke it but I guess 5ft is a long way to fall even on the carpet. Your pretty lucky the actually camera didn't break.. Get anything else to replace your lens??

That 16-150 looks like a really good everyday lens.. very wide range of shooting possiblities with it. What was the specs on it? and How much did you pay?

It was a 16-105mm 3.5-5.6, I got it packaged with the camera.
On amazon it looks like it's going for around 600 new Which is why I couldn't think of buying another one.

It was awesome tho, 16mm compared to 18mm was actually a nice difference that I enjoyed lol. Never found a reason to have the 18-70 anymore, obviously.
Super sharp super sexy I miss it but oh well lol.

You're going to love the lens.
I am selling mine for 255 shipped right now because it won't work on my 5d2 and i sold my 40d this week. I've been shooting with mine for around 2years maybe a little less.
If you want to see some shots from my copy check this link out.

It's an awesome lens and I'm actually kind of sad i won't be able to use it anymore, but I think when i get my 16-35/2.8 L those memories will quickly fade lol.

Some really good pics man! So far I love the lens, haven't had a lot of time to mess with it this week but what little pictures I've taken have turned out great. Lens seems to be well built, alot heavier than my kit lens but not to the point that its distracting. Its nice to meet someone else that has used the lens.. but I'm pretty sure you'll be much happier with that L lens
