Default Nikkor 35mm F1.8G

I dont like it

I find it to be highly over rated. The bokeh on it isnt smooth, It vignettes pretty hard & Its no where near the quality of the famous 50mm f1.8.

either Im dissapointed or spoiled by $500+ lens.

Pentax SMCP-FA 50mm f/1.4 FTW. Pentax glass might be expensive but one of their best lenses is also one of their most reasonably priced.

What does that have to do with the Nikon lens?

Nothing, but since the original post was sort of rhetorical I figured I would just toss that out there.

Who is Pentax? what the......

Anyways, Yea I am considering selling it if I can find my receipt. I ordered this thing a long time ago. I don't see how it sold so many. It's good for .... i dunno how to say this, Semi-Entry level photographers?

It does good on landscape kinda. Its not my style of photography and its 52MM on a DX camera.

So your saying that the lens is garbage and therefor is only good for semi-entry level photographers? Why would anyone want a crappy lens? Or is it that you are so advanced that you notice flaws I wouldn't?

How about you post a pic or three so I can see what your speaking of.

Also, what kind of camera do you shoot with and do all Nikon lenses work with all of their SLR and D-SLR cameras?

This lens is a DX lens. Means it will work with every Nikon camera from the D300 own down. I find this lens good for semi-entry level photographers
because of the price and the wideness of the lens. It doesn't provide me with sharp enough images and it has very noticable dark corners in all the pics. But thats to my standards. I wouldnt say its a garbage lens. Its starts to get cleaned up on pics at f4. i really didnt edit any photos with it because it was dissapointing when i loaded most of the pics in photoshop. I do have one shot with it.

If you do find the recipt and decide to sell, LMK. I have a 85 1.8 for trade if you are intrested or will buy it outright.
