what lens is this 55-200 or 70-200?

Both pics are badass ... I walked up on a hawk doing exactly this the other day and didn't even notice him till I was right up on him ... he acted like he didn't care I was there at all ... looked at me and went back to his bird-lunch lol

I prolly sound like a broken record around here but i'll say it again, I've always justified this glass moreso than any depreciating camera body since it holds its value. so your just moving money around from one place to another

I hate my 55-200 that's all there is to it and I feel like it creates far less than acceptable images on my d300 lol I just don't have the extra money right now ... paying off bills .. but once their paid off

Why do you hate the 55-200? Nikon?

I'll second this and take it a step further. If you can part with the original cost
of the lens, you can ALWAYS get what you paid and sometimes a few dollars
more than you paid when you sell it.

It's almost like renting lenses, except you get to keep them if you want.

I am about to sell a bunch of lenses and pick me up a 17-55mm 2.8. It's gonna happen.
