yeah man i adore it! was going to upgrade to a d90 but i found mine on craiglist for 550 in PERFECT condition with all acceries and an unfilled out warranty card so im still stuck with the d50 for awhile but i think this lens gets me better results that i would have got with a d90 and my 55-200 5.6 lens

FWIW, cameras do not come with warranty cards. That is lenses only.
Cameras come with registration cards. Mine is also blank but because I registered it online.

I got great pics with my D90 55-200. IQ wise, when stopped down the 55-200 is on par with the 70-200. But at f/2.8 the 55-200 is terrible.

yeah i was saying i found the 70-200 sigma on craigslist and it had an unfilled out warranty card. i was going to get a d90 but i bought the lens instead. i bought my d50 from some homosexual black guy in alabama that drives a red neon

im not sure what kind of 55-200 you had but mine 4-5.6 so it didnt even stop down to 2.8

Doh, I thought you meant the camera.

My 55-200 was the same. It was kinda the point lol. Image at the same aperture/focal length will be almost the same. It is the ability to stop it down and the build quality that you are paying for.
