Default Warranty Work?

Hey guys,

Well my car's warranty is almost up. Got 1 week left and 1200k until I'm on my own with the thing. But here's the catch - I've done all work myself on the beast and have not once taken it back to a dealer.

But, when I changed my oil last week, I saw that the right front control-arm bushing has come loose - almost completely out. It doesn't clunk around *yet*, but needs to be fixed. Also when I accelerate hard my e-brake light comes on for some reason.

My questions for the experienced GTA-folk:

1) Are either of these common issues?

2) I really don't want them coming back to me and saying that my bushing has popped out because of my non-stock rims/tires, hotchkiss anti-sway bars and mopar springs. Because if I didn't want to cover something on warranty, that's exactly what I would say. Although I don't think they could say anything about that e-brake light... So, where would you suggest I take this car? Where would I have the best luck?

Thanks guys,
Paul.

The control arm bushings are common on our cars, even more so when lowered and as far as the brake light thats just because your brake fluid is low so i would say you must be getting due for brakes. Im not sure what dealer to take it to tho, can't help you there

Could've sworn I checked that fluid - routine stuff. We looked at the brakes as well, and it appears I have tons of life left on these dust-machines. I'll check that fluid though, thanks for the tip!

Brings me to my 3rd question: can you just replace the bushing, or do you have to get the whole unit? Sometimes you have to get the whole thing.

You can buy a full suspension kit from Energy and yes you can just replace the bushing. They are pressed into the control arm

Steve put these on my ride man, and the difference was night and day, it`s like riding on rails, when Steve pointed them out to me, the rubber was crumbling to bits, and I do not drive the car hard, could not believe my eyes.
Take Steve`s advice and go see him, you`ll love the poly bushings he`ll install.Just don`t ask him what`s he`s been using lately for mowin down grass LOL

I doubt it very much that the brake fluid is lower because it boiled off, lower fluid in the reservour usually indicates wear on the pads, as they move closer toward the rotor the fluid level lowers down to fill that space...
I think the ratio on pads wear is approx 2 rear to 1 front....I`ll let the pros on here verify my take on this, I could be wrong!
Top up the fluid and the brake light should stop coming on( especially when you hit it up hard)

Yeah I'm interested, how much for just the bushings? I'll install them myself - should be easy. If I run in to trouble I'll get my pit-crew on it.
