Default Toss up between caliber srt4 or mazda 3?

Sad but true time has come to maybe get a new ride.
The caliber looks good and rides good but that new mazda Speed 3 2010 looks hot. fast and smooth lines.

If you're gonna mod it don't waste your time w/ MS3..

I dunno, you get a nicer car w/ a mazda, but it's not a Turbo Dodge.. With simple mods CSRT-4 flies even w/ it's electronic downsides.. Either will feel much more of a car then neon was, but don't expect it to be easy to go fast like it was w/ the neon.

aside from what was already mentioned concerning performance I think the MS3 and all the Mazda 3's for that matter look horrible from the front they look like a smiling frog. I would go with the CSRT-4 and I would find a slightly used lease return, Demo or Repo to save a good chunk of change to spend on new go fast goodies.....but that's just my opinion....

both are loaded with electronics that dont want to be messed with but there are ways around them
I too perfer the look of the Caliber and we are making around 320 to the wheels with very little done and we have a fix for the lazy throttle you get with the drive by wire

My vote goes for the CSRT4

Why not? If you like it, get it..
But if you want something more luxurious, maybe one of these? It cost a few grand more and it is not as fast but the built quality should be better and it looks hot. Who needs a car with high hp on the street these days especially with the huge fines for going 50+? The street racing law takes all the fun from owing a mega hp car?

Interesting choice of cars, they both have different looks.

Caliber = Angry Car! or at the very least indifferent (at least compared to the MS3)
Mazda Speed 3 = Happy Car!

I'm still trying to decide what I want for my next car (it'll be something impractical!) but I think its going to come down to what I like better in test drives.

Take em both out for a spin.

You need to take both out for a test drive and see what you like better. I'd drive them each two times just to make sure.

But in reality you should just buy a Genesis Coupe .

If you're in Windsor area I'll give you a ride in mine .. It will be an easy decision then

Just ran a 12.68@111 on 18psi max on pump gas, Realtune S2 turbo (wheel upgrade) and some other bolt ons..This turbo doesn't even start to make good power until 20 lol.. Had a dumb mishap, and didn't get a chance to push it.

my vote is for the csrt4 too. but i'm biased. we have a blue '09 csrt4.
i never could get into the looks of the first gen ms3, and i think the new one looks like ass. but that's my $0.02

My vote is for the soccer mom minivan as well, at least it has character. That putrid front bumper design that Mazda insists on using is absolutely revolting. One of those things that was probably a great idea for the Japanese market (hey people loving smiley happy things!) but should never have been approved for export....kinda like the RX-8 that way...
