Shipping time from Belvidere to Calgary?

Hi,

I posted the saga of finding an SRT-4 equiped the way I wanted it... Well, they had to special order it. I have been waiting since the end of May...

The good news is the car is built (July 2nd) and has shipped by rail.
The Dealership called and told me it has shipped and can take 10-14 days to arrive.

I think some of you locally had cars that were delivered from the factory (versus getting it off a lot). Does anyone know how long it should take to arrive?

Not that I am getting impatient for it to arrive or anything!

Now I just hope that the financing that I applied (and was approved) for at the end of may is still in place and the deal is still all good.

I was told 10 business days from being made (which I can attest is pretty much right since I ordered mine out of production from the factory)..

So I could see it next friday or so... Excellent.

You can always use new friends As a side note does anyone know who owns the Blue SRT-4 up in the NE around Ikea and Memorial Drive? He pulled along side of me, but didn't look over or anything.

Was that six weeks from the time it was built to the time you got it? Or from the time it was ordered till the time you got it?

Because this car was ordered the end of may and built on July 2nd.

Delivery date = November 2003

There we go that is the kind of info I was looking for!

When I asked the dealer if it is possible for it to arrive sooner than the 10-14 day period he was quoting me, he ducked and missed the point, and answered that it was "outside of their control. We can't speed it up any."

What I was asking is if 10 days was an average, the earliest, the latest etc.

Shit!

It took them 10-14 days to just get it on a train! It supposedly got loaded on the train yesterday (the 15th).

The dealership is still telling me that if it left yesterday it may arrive by monday.

There is no way in hell that it is going to get here in that time. (I am supposed to drive out to the west coast the middle of next week! )

All I can say is... Shit!
