Im thinking of selling my car through private sale and I have a couple questions as ive never sold a car before. my bank has a lean on the car so im guessing that before i can sign over ownership i have to provide them with the money for the loan ? right or wrong ?
what should i do to make the transaction easy for me the seller and for any potential buyers ?
Best to contact the bank to see how they want you to do it. They could be hard ass and request you pay it out outright before hand, but they will probably be easier on you than that...... Drop a hint that you want to finance another vehicle through them and see what they can do. In all likelyhood they will ask for the buyer to make out the check to them and then they'll give you the difference.
