Default Please help! no boost Updated with pics on page 2

I was on my way home last week when this happened, no boost at all, gauge staying in vac., car was gutless. So I stopped into dealer on the way home for my buddy to put the DRB on, no engine light and no codes showed.
Went home and did a boost leak test, found a kinda large slit in hotside pipe at intercooler, fixed that. Tested again, intake manifold gasket leaking. So I ordered a new gasket.
Finally got a chance yesterday to do the gasket and paint the manifold while I was at it. Put it back together last nite, did another leak test. Found another leak at the red vac. line to coldside pipe. The rubber elbow had a little tear in it! wtf!!
So this morning i replaced the elbow, did a test to about 15 psi, leaks down pretty slow. I reset the pcm, and take for a drive. NO F@#%ing boost.

If I still had some sort of boost leak, wouldn't i still get some boost? I mean i'm not getting any. What else could cause this? The turbo is spinning freely, no oil or anything inside.
What else can i check ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jason.

First things first, I am no mechanic.... But I was having the same issue your having, I had boost leaks here and there fixed them all and was still having an issue. So long story short I was puting a new turbo and manifold on the car. Sure enough when we took the manifold off there was the problem. The wastgate arm had snapped of where it connects to that flap on the inside of the mainifold. May wanna take a look at that, Just an idea. (Sorry for the terminology, like I said I am no mechanic)

Yeah, I thought about that, so I let the actuator arm go from the actuator. It moved back and forth ok, it sounded like the flapper was still there and seating. (I even compared the feel and sound to the wastegate on the stock manifold)
During the boost leak test, the wastegate actuator moves fine and doesn't leak so I assume thats not the problem either. I did find another small leak around one of the injector o-rings, but that shouldn't prevent it from getting any boost at all.
How about the solenoids on the airbox? Can one of those fail and prevent boost? How can I check them? Could the pcm be stuck in some sort of limp mode and prevent it from boosting?

Btw, I did reset the pcm and my only "power" mods are stage 3, 3inch dp,mopar exhaust and the blue plate.

Still no codes on DRB, solenoids are working fine.
Anyone???

Think I'm gonna drop the downpipe and O2 housing and take a look

EDIT: turbo isn't spinning, don't know why i didn't check that earlier, so off it comes

ouch... Turbo not spinning... Even if you try to spin it with a finger (obviously with the car off) ?

Yep well bits of impeller in my downpipe

Funny thing is, on the intake side the impeller is spinning freely, very minimal shaft play and no smoke thru exhaust.

I'm not gonna bother taking the manifold off tonite, until I figure out my options. What could have caused this? Only a few thousand km's since S3 install, broke in properly, stored all winter and not even raced this year, haven't even had time to go out on cruise nights!

Maybe I'll just put all the S2 stuff back on

This is very very

Looks like the motor ate something and spit it out taking out the impeller..

I'd be interested in seeing some pics when you get the manifold off to see if it broke or is bent.

Didn't get a chance to take off the manifold yet, but I'll put up some pics when I do. I did drop the O2 housing, the area around the wastegate is fine, no cracks or anything.

Pretty sure it wasn't a valve, valve seat or plug or anything like that, as the car idles and runs smooth. But I'll do some more checking around this weekend, do a compression test, drain the oil, etc.

Anyone know what parts of stage 2 I'd have to install while I'm waiting??
Obviously the PCM and turbo/manifold, what about the fuel rail and pump??

You could actually just put the stock turbo and manifold back on. Set DAB to 1 or keep your shoe out of it and you'll be fine. MoparEd has been doing this for a while as he's waiting for his turbo from F&F.

Hey fellow Newf,
Im running all stage 3 minus turbo and manifold (its at form and function for the past 5 months) The car runs just fine, I run it in DAB1 and get 13-15 psi boost on stock turbo with the stage 2 wga at its recomended 4mm preload setting, In dab 2 or 3 it boosts way too much, so I drive it on Dab 1. Dont worry about swapping out the pcm, fuel pump or rail, just leave it all on and just put your stocker turbo/mani on until you get your stage 3 fixed.

Hey Ed, I thought I was the only newf on here. You must be one of those transplanted ones. I bet thats where you got those mad powdercoating skills!! What part of NL are you from?

Thats good to hear though, thought I might have to swap everything back. Do you have to baby it, or can you get on it, leaving it in DAB1. At least you can get traction!
I ordered a new S3 turbo/manifold, so hopefully it will only be for a few weeks. Depending on how bad the one I take off is, I might send that off to get rebuilt/improved, and use the new one as a spare, just in case it happens again!
What are you getting done to your turbo? Was it damaged or no?

Hey by' Im from Stephenville, I left home back in 94 when I got out of highschool
I have been running Stage 3 ecu and fuel since I took my car out of storage in March, You can beat on it all day long in DAB 2/3, I just didnt like how the needle on my boost guage go all the way down past 20, I only run on dab1 because it seems close to stock 15psi/10-12 at redline. It runs kinda rich as you could imagine, but Im getting the same gas mileage as before. I sent my Turbo/Manifold to form and function performance back in Feb, Im still waiting for it to return. The turbo was not damaged, It was brand new.

Thanks Ed by'! I'm from the other side, St. John's.

I'll probably just keep in DAB1, unless I "have" to have more boost!
Since Feb eh?, glad I ordered a new one. That's a long wait but I'm sure it will be worth it.
