So I need a new clutch. I've emailed TH Motorsports since they have a sale in their vendor section, no reply yet.
I've called mopac, they gave me not bad pricing but at least 10-14 days out to get one with a guesstimate on shipping cost. Also tried SpeedTech in Calgary with even worse pricing but not sure how quick shipping is.
Those were for ACT clutches. What other ideas or places can I try? I tried modern performance but the brokerage and customs charges on the clutch masters are insane.
Also I don't think I want to get the ACT flywheel, it's crazy expensive, but according to the fidanza website, so is theirs. Yet at modern for example, to move up to the alum flywheel it's only $100 more.
Thoughts? I was looking at ones that will hold 580-600 tq, the DN3-HDG4 ACT for example, or the FX400 4 puck.
Got it through Realtune. PM Aaron he'll give you exactly what fits your needs and ship via USPS to keep costs down.
I went with the South Bend and Fidanza Flywheel!
I think GLH and Chris @ CTA may be able to get it for you as well (from Canada).
Been following a thread about SB clutches, some 45 pages deep, make that 49 with MAJOR customer complaints about vibration and the odd one about gear chatter, just giving you a heads up, search button is your friend If u have problems with your southbend clutch

Two: Their customer service is a joke. The typical "send it in and we'll fix it" gets old after you drop your trans multiple times to send the unit back. If your car is a DD, you will get pissed.
Three: They are crooks. I went from a vibrating and slipping Stage 5x modular (Cant remember how much I spent on that), then they talked me into the Stage 4 RS for ANOTHER $600 saying this was the be all end all of clutches. I installed it and the damn thing never disengaged right from day one. Caused a synchro to fail and I asked for a refund of just the $600 and not the original purchase of the Stage 5x that never worked like advertised either. They declined. I contacted my credit card fraud department. The credit card company quickly decided in my favor.
Jose do you even drive it anymore? I know I'm one to talk but I actually put 15,000 km on the car this summer...
Teh skittle'z still a DD and just broke the 77K mark on the odometer last week.
My silver bullet's still bitch slapping eurotrash & jap crap
wanna-be's this side of the GTA (plus a few slobalts,GTP's & Stangs)...
And all under 150 kph of course...
