I took it to eastern chrysler on main. They said that the shop time to disassemble the engine is 5-7 hours which is $500 to $700 bucks. Now they are saying that the car may have broke due to a change in back pressure due to my dp.

I think they have a standard list of excuses about why shit breaks. It goes something like this:

1) "If the sucker, I mean customer, has an aftermarket exhaust, tell him that the change in back pressure caused the problem and their warranty is voided."
2) "If the sucker, I mean customer, has a BOV conversion tell him that it caused and overboost situation and their warranty is voided"
3) "If the sucker, I mean customer, has a CAI tell them that the extra "cold" air caused the pistons to freeze up and that is the reason the car runs poorly and their warranty is voided"
4) "If the sucker, I mean customer, has ever had the car washed with anything other than the approved Mopar soap, they have obviously neglected the vehicle and their warranty is voided"

I can do this for hours, but you get the point.

Awwwww what a pain in the ( Y )!!!! Well they pretty much told me that it isnt going to be warranty cuz I do my own oil changes and I am not an approved dodge technician. What bs I hope they subscribe to the Winnipeg Sun and Winnipeg Free Press cuz they are gonna be in it! I have some luck though. One of my buddies that I use to work with owns 4 SRT 4's that are all written off. So he is gonna do an engine swap for me for approx $1500. Which includes the engine and labour so thats not to shabby! But ya I am going to make sure that everyone that owns a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep doesn't go to Eastern for any warranty or even service work.

yeah, i think my car overboosted so i took it in.

the lady refused service becuse my headlights look blue, becaus i puy differennt bulbs in.

when i took it in. it had ttimer, fan mod, cai, a painted valve cover and fuse box, and a new battery. so i want to know how that causes overboost and how its my fault.

Don't let them get off that easy. As far as I know there is nothing saying that oil changes must be done by your dealer.

You are not required to have your oil changes done at the dealer. The best thing to do is to gather up all your receipts,( oil, filters etc.) and talk to a lawyer. Before you talk to the lawyer, inform the service manager of your intentions and he may change his mind.
Guaranteed the person at the dealership who does change oil is not a certified tech either.

Alright so I went down to the dealer and told em that I was contacting the news and papers. That changed what they had to say. So I talked to the service manager and he told me that they would look at my car to see if it was warranty for $25 bucks an hour rather than $105. And he said that if it was warranty they would give me a courtesy car and would refund me on the rental charges I have already paid. So I got a phone call from them today and they said that it was all going to be covered. That was one of the best phone calls I recieved. It turns out that the oil pump was busted and it caused 4 of the bearings to get all chewed up, bent two of the rods and screwed the pistons. So they are replacing the bearings, rods, pistons, oil pump. The technician siad that chrysler should just warranty me a whole new engine cause it would be close in cost so I will find out what they are going to do tommorrow. Oh well I am happy. I havent driven my SRT in like a week and a half. It will be another 2 weeks before I get it back.

Good news. I'm sure they'll just put in a new short block for you. Let me know when you get it back we'll have to go for a cruise.

I just took my car in to get oil changed, and the guy was like do you have any staged upgrades. So I was like no.. I have aftermarket turbo.
He then said well stage one and two would be covered under warranty but not stage 3. Which this has been a very skeptical topic, what I mean is some people say they will warantee it but actually dont, while maybe others do..
