In BC? Want a car? Avoid Northland in Prince George.
This weekend was one of my many business trips to Prince George, and as always, I went car shopping on my down time.
This is the second time I've been to Northland, and my first time was not exactly, shall we say, invigorating (impact hammers should not be used to tighten the oil drain plug).
However, they are the only "big" Dodge dealer in my neck of the woods, so I thought I'd drop in.
We were interested in the following:
2006 Dodge Charger SRT8
2006 Cherokee SRT8
Now, Canadian MSRP for these bad boys is around $45-$51k.
However, the term "MARKUP" was applied liberally.
The Charger was marked up ALMOST $11k. Sticker was $64k.
The Cherokee? How's a $20k markup for you? That's right kids, $72,000 for a Cherokee SRT8.
Oh, and both vehicles had layers of brake dust as well as black soot all over the tips of the tailpipes, so you know they were driven hard recently.
And, it took them 20 minutes to realize we were standing outside the glass windows of the dealership, and then started the conversation by insulting me.
So, I would recommend avoiding this fine establishment.

WHat did they say to insult you? Did they call you a douchebag? I hate when people call me that.
im gonna ahave to dissagree with ya on this one, i bought my SRT-4 from Northland and the service was great paid 25,000 for a 04' with 33,000kms. In and out within a few hrs. Also gave me great trade in for my old stang. Who was ur sales man, u remeber then name. I kno quite a few of them there.
I havent had to go in for any warranty work yet so i cant complain about Chrysler/Dodge yet.
Here we go again. Don't get me started on Chrysler/Dodge dealership service. They treat you like shit and when you claim theirs a problem with your car minor/major they instantly say it's not under warranty or it's modified or both. Jordan mentioned Langley Chrysler as a good dealership but the ones i've been too abused my car when it was getting serviced and they also made stories and excuses when something needed a repair.
Sorry for this long rant but I think maybe if they took care of their customers better maybe they would sell more cars.
my dealership is awesome, its also good to be friends with the service manager none the less, but if any of you guys need work or warranty work take it to them and ask to speak with Curtis.
