Not sure about Bosch? But I do know K&N and Mobil filters are of high quality.

This is what I used on all my cars:

Bosch oil filter is nothing special, nothing wrong with it, but nothing extraordinary about it either, just a regular off the shelf filter same as fram, quaker state, etc.. . I prefer to stick with Mopar filters, you at least know they were designed for your engine's oil flow requirements.

Boy those cmfilters look nice but expensive...
I'll probably just use the Bosch on my next oil change
then get something better later. I figured it was half the price
of the K&N's so I got one...

thanks for the input...

Yes, you paid for the housing initially but it last a life time. The only thing you change is the oil cartridge around $12-14 cnd and gasket kit every 25k-30k km. I changed mine cartridge at every 2 oil changes.

The Bosch filters don't look all that basic, they seem to have some above average features. The "anit-drain back valve" is interesting.

actually anti-drain back valves have been standard on most filters for many years, nothing different about that. It's just a one way gasket that holds oil in the filter after the engine is stopped so the oil doesn't drain out.
