Default 2013 emmissions for stage kits

anyone know what the deal is with the new emmissions standards in ontario for 2013 and stage kits? does it look like the code scrubber will have to be used (or go back to stock map/tip/pcm)?

Sir us canadians are completely fucked, excuse my french.
If your car isnt running stock numbers you will automatically fail, soo if you have a different staged pcm i would be looking into buying an oem and retuning it back to stock.

have you tried? the cleanair site doesn't go into detail about what the new standards are. as far as i know, if you have a stage kit and a cat, you should still pass emmissions as you should run stock number if not boosting. it's just the extra auto tranny code that's thrown in the PCM that might sink you when they scan for codes (like the guys in the states).

That is crap. I am running a Mopar stage3 car, with all the boltons. I just e-tested in ontario on December 28th and passed with flying colours. I think you should be fine with 2013 standards, especially with a mostly stock car.

the standards are completely overhauled for 2013 so you just got in under the wire. i had no problems with my car in the past as well. next year though...

Move to BC, our aircare program is done in 2014 no more emissions testing!

Would the auto tranny code matter? drive clean site says they scan for possible emission related problems, I guess we'll all know soon enough

not 100% sure. i know that in certain US states ANY code will fail you (hence N2MBs code scrubber mod).

You're 100% wrong. I e-tested my Stage 3 car 2x and passed without issue also e-tested it as stage 2 and passed.

Do you own a Stage 3 car and have tried e-testing it? Or are you just "surmising" it would fail.

Honestly when it comes to air care (or whatever it's called in each respective province) I don't think it's anything fancy. All I could imagine they're really looking for is emissions related p-codes. You may as well try before you go blowing cash on a 'stage 0' conversion. You never know! From the looks of previous commenters on here I think you're probably in the clear.

well, the fact it is a DSP car give me a bit of hope. for S3 it's just the stupid autotranny code that could cause you to fail (like in the states). i'll just have to wait and see how she does.

So does the scrubber let you pass? What do I need to do to get this to pass short of back to stock?

Any news on this? Can't believe no Stage 2 or 3 car tried yet.

Ironically, I won't have to reinstall a cat to pass this year.
