Thats what I was thinking, so they can post up pics and mods list, without anyone else jamming up the thread with gay chit chat. it should be for viewing only so the public can vote.
PS, I can vote, i was viewing it logged off, go figure lol.
haha that is funny. They will be able to pm me or flame a biography (the winner) and we will start a thread in the announcement area or in the srt of the month section. We will discuss this and see which way we rather go. Any input on this would be good.
My plan was to start a thread for the winner, announcing the user's name and the poll results. Then, allowing that user to be the next poster posting what ever they want. Pictures, bio, thanks what ever else they want. Then the rest of the site can post after that.

What do you think would be better... Giving them the first post after we make a thread for them in the section or having them send us a pm and quote them (making the thread ourselves).
i personally like the pm and quoting them in the first post.
Either way, I'm sure they will post in the thread. Personally, I'd rather have them make the post themselves. So, we post first and they post second. But it really doesn't matter to me.
Next month we are going to start the nomination thread 7 days before the first day of the month. That way we can hopefully have all nominations and the poll ready for the first of the month.
What I was also thinking about doing was having the users that are in the poll start a thread in the showoff section with pictures and a mod list then moving that post into the poll thread so that the first 5 posts after the original posts are from the users in the poll explaining their cars.
What do you guys think of that?
I would need the user to link me to the thread in the show off section so I can close it so it doesn't get cluttered.
