Default January 2009 SRT of the Month: LilSparkPlug

Sponsored by

Well, first off thank you to everyone who voted, it was a fun competition. Thanks to the mods who put this together!! I'm honored to be the very first SRTForums SRT of the Month!!!

For those who are veterans of the forum this may all be old news. But for those who are newer, here is part of the car's story:
It all started July 30th 2004 when I purchased the car. I had always wanted something that was my own from the design up. At the same time I wanted to maintain the stock appeal of the car and show its true roots. I have this passion and obsession with nostalgic Mopars, more specifically that of the 1970s and yet even further, 1970 AAR 'Cudas. I was watching Barett Jackson one day and a 70 FM3 AAR went across and that was it. I decided then that Pather Pink and flat black was the perfect color combination for me. With ample drawings laying out the paint job and seven full weeks of work I painted the car, myself. It was the first time I had painted a full car, I had painted fenders, bumpers and such but this was my final project before graduating with an associates degree in Autobody/Mechanics. Not only was it the first time I had painted a car, but I was rendered blind in one eye and had to wear a prosthetic due to a botched surgery (I still have no vision in it to this day). I accomplished something no one told me I would be able to do

All in all on September 30th 2006, the car took its maiden voyage being Panther Pink and Flat black. The acceptance from members on here and elsewhere throughout the show circuit and locally has been intense and very gratifying. I am ever so slowly building it closer and closer to the dream I had four and a half years ago. I still have so much more to do, and so much more planned to get the car where I want it to be. I'll spare the details of the past two years and how far the car has come since then, those of you who have been avid on here since 2006 may remember the build thread and all subsequent threads afterwards. I want to thank everyone who helped out with this project, they all know who they are.

Thank you everyone!
-Crystalmarie

I absolutely love the car....... but I think the car needs a different hood IMO. The work you did is amazing! I would love to see the IPP hood on this.

Yep, been following your progress for some time now, love what you did to the ride and the dedication and hard work sure shows.
I'm thrilled for you that you won first SRTForums SRT of the Month!!!!! very deserving...
If there is one thing I change, it would be the double "SRT 4" logo in the trunk, in my humble opinion 1 should be enough, and the one I would leave on would be the one on the trunk liner. Keep up the great workmanship going Chrystal

Even though not every last detail on the car is to my taste, its because of theme, the work YOU have done, your overall attitude and your passion about the car that makes it my favorite SRT-4 on the forums.

Anyway congrats to you
