Went to the track, car did some odd things... Help
Okay so first of all, when I'd pull up and spin the tires off quick before staging, the car would go full rich (10.0) and idle really oddly like it had cams.. Then as soon as I launched it cleared up and was fine on the return trip..
Another thing is that it would go pretty rich, probably as rich as it could, in the high rpms, which I'm guessing is the COT kicking in. Would I pick up more up top if it wasnt going uber rich on me? Also, when WOT shifting the car would spike up to like 24-25 psi, is this normal for it to do? I never paid that much attention before.

That is common, tire spin will cause a rich condition on most tunes. Just burp the throttle and it will clear up.
Do you have the COT turned off? If not, send us over your file and I will shut that off for free as well as adjust the knock sensor threshold.
The short spike is common but what turbo are you running?
Stock turbo. I do not have the COT turned off, you need the stock backup correct? Thanks in advance. Oh, and sorry for the drop off in communication earlier in the year, I smacked a deer with my car right as we were getting ready to kick things off.
Do you happen to know how much timing HOM runs on the S2? I'm plannin on toying with throwing a lil timing at it with some race gas next weekend if I can get my S1 sold and get some tires.

Send us the current tune your running on. Load up the DSdownloader then "get tune from tool". This way we are working with the tune your running on vs building you a whole new tune.
Nothing to worry about, we will get you taken care of one way or another.
S2 HOM normally adds close to 10 degrees of timing and it appears there is some changes to the fuel maps but not 100% on this. Base tune with the HOM button pushed and race gas should net you some great results at the track.
Let me know when you want to get a full track tune! Thanks.

Just to the tunes@pt-performance.com address? I dont have toys which is why I asked about the timing, think I could just throw some to it wit the DSP and get somewhere close?

Yes that is the correct email.
Yes you can simulate the HOM timing tables with your current set up, just be sure that you save (get tune from tool) your tunes before making changes. This way you can have a race gas tune then a pump gas tune.

So in essence, I can change the timing in this tune, save it (get tune from tool), then change my original tune back for pump gas, then reload the "race gas" tune I saved onto my DSP as a seperate tune file?
Oh and my email here at school can be dumb sometimes, so if it doesnt let you send the file to me let me know and I'll give you an alternate address.

Yes but you would want to load the pump gas tune you have now in the "get tune from tool" so its saved, then make changes to the race gas tune. When you have that all done, then "get tune from tool" again, and save that as your race gas tune.

Hope that helps.
Okay sounds good, I will be waiting till I get my tune with the COT turned off from you before I do that, but definately sounds good. You should have an email from me also.
