The main theme of this lesson is
PATIENCE.
Before jumping in and changing fuel% and timing (or suggesting someone should) you need a clear and concise understanding of the problem. The ONLY way to see whats going on with your car is to
DATALOG, DATALOG, DATALOG!!!!!!!
Here's the note I got with this log from the car owner:
Quote:
was running rich so i added 7% fuel to 4-5k and 5-6k and that brought me to like 12.5 afr. Then i took -2 degrees from where i had a knock of 6 and it didn't help. So i was told to maybe add a bit more fuel and i bumped it to 10%, which gave me 12.0ish afr but i still have a knock of 6 between 5-6k
If the only info I had was this discription, I'd only be seeing 10% of the issue. Remmember that when a member post something similiar without a log.
Overall GOOD JOB,,,,Well done

You guys are correct.
Whats wrong with the Log?
Missing MAP, BARO are the big ones.
What wrong with the tune?
Probably nothing! Until the TPS is fixed its too hard to tell.
What wrong with the car?
The TPS/wiring is jacked up causing Openloop F/A(commanded A/F) to lean and also add timing.
Its the TPS thats causing the knock and LEAN A/F. If the boost was under PCM control the boost would immediately lower once the TPS signal was below ~2.8v
Note: ACT is typical of stock IC/turbo
