I bought my car with a 255 pump and stage 2 injectors (or so they said) and a agp wga that appears to be off pcm control if im not mistaken. and i just bought a dst and put the 93 tune on it and it cuts out at wot and doesnt spike but hits 15psi. im pretty new at this and wondering if i can keep the agp wga on it or what do i have to do.
also just remembered they did put a msd coil on it.
MSD coil packs have been known to cause issues. Is there a Stage 2 PCM to go with those injectors? What about the MAP and TIP sensors? The PCM is a pretty powerful boost controller. I would suggest getting a stock (or Stage 2 if that's what the PCM is) wastegate actuator and put it back on PCM control.
Figure out what parts your car has. If you don't know what's been modified it could be very difficult to track down issues.
Also it doesnt fall on its face till 15psi then it doesn't back fire just studders a little bit and I had the check engine light flash but had no codes?
I think your gonna need a rescale for those injectors. Without the correct mods/tune, it'll run like crap.
Since you don't have the 3bar map and tip sensors, S2 PCM and S2 wastegate it won't run properly with those injectors.
But for what you have you do need a wideband to watch your a/f ratio, 3bar map & tip sensors and a rescale tune for the injectors and 3bar sensors.
There's no need for that wastegate since you have a DST. That wastegate is also well known for PTB as well. If this is your DD it would be worth you while to change it. What color are the top and bottom portion of your injectors?
Just got a stock wga and I'll have to look at the injectors. But I changed the plugs yesterday and according to them she is a little on the lean side..

I also put the stock tune and wga back on and disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and then did a few wot pulls but it has no balls now. Only getting 3 pounds of boost
Nope. The only thing I had to do is get a longer peiece of vacuum line for the wga. Someone broke the hard plastic line. I asked the people who had the car before me of they had issues and if that's why they went with the ago and they said yes. So is it possible that its bad? And I seen that if the ago had a 8psi spring I could still use it?
Stranger things have happened so it is possible. Before you remove the stock wastegate reload the 93 tune. We know you can build boost because it worked with the AGP. If it's still the same I think you found the culprit.
Okay so I swaped the wga's again and let the computer reset with the factory tune and ran it wot for 3-4 pulls hitting 13 psi of boost and then loaded the 93 tune and ran it wot for 1-2 pulls hitting 13 psi of boost and no cutting or falling on its face. Does the 93 tune envolve turning the boost psi up or just adjustments to other parameters?
Adjustments to parameters. But you can adjust boost with the Dst which is why if you have one you don't need the Agp. Pcm controlled boost is a much better animal.
That's also another reason I suggested the 93 tune, in case something strange was changed on the stock tune you were not aware of. I'm assuming when you put the stock tune back it was from a backup correct?
I did not shut it down at the top of the pull cause I had at get it somewhere safe to park but I did a pull and parked it maybe 1/4 mile after if that and pulled the plugs
