i want to get the boost box that just released from n2mb but i want so expert advice on what might be the best way to set it up so that i can get as much as possible out of the dsp. i know that the boost box will control all boost, so it wont be pcm controlled boost,
but is there away around this?
or is there a way to go to get the best out come for the dsp to still have most control?
thanks and this is going to change everything for us stock computer guys who want the best boost by gear that u can possibly have.

It's not required that you use PCM-controlled boost with the DSP. Some people prefer it, others do not. In this case, as far as your tune is concerned, you'd simply adjust boost with the n2mb box and then the rest with the DSP.

So what exactly does this device do? I've never heard of it...
Ohh, and you do know that a custom DS CMR tune can enable gear specific boost right?

From the Website: Description
The Boost Box is a new electronic boost controller for the Dodge Neon SRT-4. The Boost Box is remarkable in its simplicity and power. Here are the major features:
Boost by Gear
The Boost Box automatically determines which gear you are in and adjusts your boost level to your desired setting. This is crucial for maximizing the performance of high horsepower street driven cars! You can easily limit power in lower gears and still have full boost in higher gears.
Adaptive Tuning
The Boost Box can automatically learn its calibration tables as needed to make the amount of boost you program. This helps simplify the tuning process. Or if you prefer, you can take over full control using our Windows software.
Throttle Position Sensor Input
The Boost Box monitors your throttle position to adjust boost as needed, eliminating part-throttle overboost.
Eventually, with enough of these little boxes, we won't need a DSP, LOL...

So I'm good with wrenches an NA, but learnin' all this electronic stuff... so give me a break and not bust my balls too much at first!

boost by gear can only be enabled by the custom cmr tune if you have a stage 2 pcm with toys.
unless someone has unlocked it
but with this box here soon u will be able to adjust boost by rpm in the gear so that u can be right at the peak of spinning and get everything out of it.

No, it works with all PCM's. I've used it several times. You just need to know how to configure it...
I will have to look into the boost by gear for the stock PCM's. I thought that the 03's couldn't be set up this way, but still learning everything that this little box can do.
well i have been around since the beginning of the dsp release and even a beta tester for trinity.
when rage technology released it being the first cmr dealer besides bryan, it was stated that you could only have boost by gear if you have the stage 2 pcm with toys. this allows for the extra space to put in the additional information for the boost by gear and you needed a n2mb toy box to work it.
look it up
the last i heard and it has been 2 months since i have researched it again. that bryan was working on "boost by MPH" he had it pretty close and may have even got it done but it was not "boost by gear".
if "boost by gear" in the dsp program can be done on a stock pcm then i want to know how and where i am suppose to get it?
and the question is will it be as elaborate as n2mb boost box is?
my information comes from ragetek and where it orignal stood in the first 2 months after release
Boost by MPH has always been and always will be part of stock pcm boost control. Don't believe me? here it is in the STOCK 05 pcm:
The question is not that it exists but that its a pita to set up properly.
As you can see the table is not set up boost psi but Torque. getting the Torque calculation setup correctly for a particular car's setup is whats a pain. It just take alot of trial and error. There are just too many individual customer driven variables to be accounted for. imo it would be a "pissed off customer lighting rod" if it were offered as a true traction control feature to every newb, because it would rarely match the driver's perception of it.
I believe Brian's issues with it had more to do with how the "Boost %" is changed by the DSP, especially with the 93tune and its locked WG DC% adaptives.
Nick can do it for you though.

but still even if you figure out the torque calculation, each time you would have to go back to the cmr dealer to change it as conditons change with weather and track prep. i belief cmr dealers would get irrated lol
there is no end user configuration that can be done on our end
